everwonder summer camp

summer camp 2024

july 8th – august 23rd

Have fun, make friends, and learn so many different things with EverWonder’s summer camps. There’s something for everyone. Each week will excite and inspire your child into the world of STEAM. New this year! Each camp is partnered with another Newtown organization to extend your day both mornings or afternoons. Choose from half-day or full-day options, and join us all summer long. Shuttle transportation is included! Member discounts are applied with sign-in for Food Science, Wonder Lab, & Science History only.

registration dates:

March 1st: Food Science, Wonder Lab, & History/SMART Combo Camps open

April 1st: Science History open

May 1st: all camps open to individual or combo camps

 

 

everwonder programs

early dismissals with everwonder

Looking for the perfect place to send your kids on early dismissals? Kids can take the bus from Newtown Elementary & Reed Schools directly to EverWonder. They will enjoy a STEM challenge plus museum exploration. Please pack a snack and water, or send $2 for a snack and drink. Pick up by 5:00 p.m. Advanced registration required at least 24 hours in advance. Register here!

mrs. fagan’s story lab

tuesdays & thursdays @ 10:30

 

Join Mrs. Fagan weekly for her amazing story labs! As a former Newtown Kindergarten teacher and math/science specialist, she would love to entertain your children in the wonders of science. Story Lab is 15-25 minutes long and includes reading a story and doing a coordinating science craft. Appropriate for ages 2-5. 

 

 

 

science with ms. sheila

fridays @ 10:30

 

Ms. Sheila loves science! Attend her weekly class and dive into science with questions about how the world works. Ms. Sheila is a former preschool director and her class includes a short story followed by a relevant science activity. Appropriate for ages 2-5.

 

ranger nate

one friday per month 10 – 2

 

 

 

Come visit with Ranger Nate from the Beardsley Zoo as he brings animal furs, skeletons, and other wild things to the museum. He is one of our favorite animal experts and would love to answer your questions. (no live animals) 

 

 

 

parents’ night out

monthly 5-8 p.m.*

Go on a date or stay home and relax! We’ve got the kids!

  • $35/child for members
  • $40/child for non-members
  • $5 off siblings

Includes open museum, craft/science demos, and pizza!

*Private PNOs available. All registrations for Parents’ Night Out must be received no later than 24 hours before the event. Late registrations made online are subject to cancellation. Please call the museum at 203-364-4009 to see if space is available after the deadline.
