**Summer for Everyone!** Monday afternoons from 1-4pm will be reserved for our sensory friendly days. Coding for a cause…

Patrice Gans, Executive Director of Random Hacks of Kindness Junior, will be teaching an introduction to the basics of computer coding using MIT App Inventor, an intuitive, visual programming environment, similar to Scratch, that allows everyone, even children, to build fully functional apps for smartphones and tablets. Those looking to investigate MIT App Inventor are invited to see their website: http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/about-us.html.

During the five days, campers will learn the elements of app development starting with brainstorming, transitioning to design and culminating in the coding of the app. The app components that the students utilize will be drawn from the sample programs that they will do in class. The camp will culminate in the design and coding of an app focusing on a local concern or organization.
