Science Lab: Paper Water Lily Experiment

  • EverWonder Children's Museum 31 Pecks Lane Newtown, CT, 06470 United States

Calling all horticulturalists! On Wednesday, May 11th, come watch paper water lilies bloom before your very eyes. During this activity, our young horticulturalists will be simulating the blooming of a paper water lily. They will get to decorate and cut out their own paper water lily, and then watch it unfurl through using the power of capillary action.

Fun Fact: Capillary action is the ability of a liquid to flow in narrow spaces without the assistance of external forces.
